Education Background:
Graduate SAIT Business Program

Born and raised just south of Calgary in High River, Alberta, Tiffany's passion for the game became very evident at a young age. After a self-rewarding junior career, and growing up around the golf industry, a career in golf was the natural path. After graduating from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology with a Diploma in Business Administration and a successful 3 year stint on the golf team where she was ACAC Champion in 1987, 1988, and 1989 as well as Female Athlete of the Year, the start of her CPGA career began.

During the summer of 1990, Tiffany took a job in the Golf Shop at the Cottonwood Golf & Country Club. This newly opened facility was exciting, rewarding, and educational. Under Dean Walker and Bob McArthur, Tiffany became an Assistant, acquiring her PAT in 1991. After completion of the Apprentice Training Program, she gained her Class A status in 1996. In 1997 she assumed the Head Professional role and assumed the General Manager position in 2000. In 2004 she moved to Executive Professional, the position she holds currently. Working with a strong management team and answering to the Owner & CEO, Lyle Edwards, has given her opportunity to expand her knowledge on not only a club, but industry level as well. Tiffany remains dedicated to the membership and staff at Cottonwood, where her career has had many opportunities for advancement. Support and commitment continues to motivate her daily.

Her involvement on a board level has been a priority for Tiffany. For over ten years, she has worked with the PGA of Alberta on their Annual Golf Consumer Show. Starting out as a volunteer, through the committees, as Co-Chair, and Chaired both North and South Golf Shows. Finishing her terms will the PGA of Alberta as Past President in 2011, she found that she missed her passion for the Board and joined the current Board in 2016 where she continues to work with the Membership and Employment committee.

To grow the game and support the industry will always be a mandate. Involved in numerous charities throughout Southern Alberta, Tiffany finds time to give back to the community. Her commitment to working with golf programs such as Links for Women and GolfAround to her charity work with Kids Cancer Care Foundation of Alberta, has allowed her the opportunity to raise over $150,000 over nine years. Her decision to have her head shaved for Kids Cancer Care in 2003 raised over $73,000 during one event. She currently chairs the local Cystic Fibrosis tournament as well as participates in fundraisers for many local charities. In 2000, she was voted "Top 10 Calgarians That Give" by Avenue Magazine.

Her latest accomplishments, which she is most grateful for, is that of the 2005 Alberta PGA Club Professional, 2005 Score Award Winner in the Club Professional category, and her greatest accomplishment to date is the 2005 Canadian PGA Club Professional of the Year.In 2016 she also received the Business in Calgary Leadership Award.

She credits her latest awards to the dedicated staff that she works with as well as the mentorship she has found with many fellow Alberta PGA Professionals. Serving as the PGA of Alberta President from 2009 - 2011 also lands on her most accomplished list, as the relationships she has aquired during that time will last her career.

Passion and involvement promotes education and learning. Commitment to making yourself interested and aware will allow you to set goals, standards, and creates results. Information and knowledge is power. As Golf Professionals we can not lose sight of what is important and must always take opportunities to "step outside the box" to new levels. Get involved, be supportive, and always continue to strive to be the best at what you do . . . professionally and personally.
