Born & raised in Invermere, BC, Dan started golfing at the relatively late age of sixteen while working at The Springs at Radium under then Head Professional Derrick Hawes. He developed a deep passion for the game and decided that this was the career of choice!

Shortly after high school graduation, Dan enrolled in the Golf Club Management and Operations program at Selkirk College in Nelson, BC. After a few years, he decided to pursue the route of golf professional and graduated from Camosun College in Victoria, BC with a Business Golf Management certificate. He believes that the future of the golf industry will demand highly educated people with a business mindset and he completed a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Royal Roads University in Victoria, BC in 2005.

Dan entered the CPGA in 2003 and passed his Class A exam in 2005.
In his twenty-plus seasons in the industry, he has considered himself fortunate to work for some incredible people and at some amazing facilities, including The Springs at Radium, Greywolf, Eagle Ranch, Chateau Whistler, Banff Springs, Tobiano, and The Glencoe.

His personal career highlights include getting his first hole-in-one at Eagle Ranch while golfing with Mike Vernon in 2003, and meeting Jack Nicklaus at the 2006 Telus Skins Game.
