Putting tip:
I used to think the Pendulum motion of a putting stroke felt stiff all the way up to my shoulders and upper back, trying to "rock" back and forth. Instead, I now soften the tension in my shoulders and neck by trying to keep my shoulders "quiet" throughout the stroke using the lower arms and elbows instead of the shoulder muscles. This shallows the plane of the putter providing more consistent contact and make putting a more comfortable experience. I have little or no tension and provided I hold my finish in the stroke I roll the ball along the intended line more often. Reading greens is another story! |
