Exciting news from the PGA of Alberta!
We will soon have a permanent home which our golf community can call its own.
Years ago our predecessors established a building fund which over time has now enabled us to enter the next chapter in the development of the PGA of Alberta.
Land has been purchased, financing secured, with design and approvals well on the way. Construction on a two storey building will begin in March 2011. The building will provide room for all permanent staff, storage and reception. Included will be a Board Room which is envisioned as the center-piece of the building; hosting many Committee and Board Meetings as well as our historical golf artifacts, trophies, awards and the recognition of our supporters. This room will be a tribute to all that is golf.
The PGA of Alberta has been serving golf in the province since the early 1900’s, providing golf courses with dedicated professional staff whose talents are much sought after amongst those who love and play the wonderful game of golf. Our long term goal with having purchased land and constructing a permanent home is to put ourselves in a position to expand our community programs and continue growing the game of golf.
Community involvement has long been a foundation of the PGA of Alberta, as evidenced by the following organizations and programs we support:

There are many amongst us who have been inspired, taught and given guidance by a Golf Professional. It is in this spirit that we ask you as an Individual, your Golf Club, your Association or your Corporation for your support. Each dollar raised will allow us to expand upon the interior details of the building and in particular enrich the Board Room and Recognition Areas with cabinets, displays as well as the latest technology & furnishings, ensuring our image as a Professional Association is upheld both inside and out.
