Allred's in the Red
To say Scott Allred, Executive Professional at Elbow Springs GC, has been seriously close to winning a PGA of Canada national championship in the recent past might be a colossal understatement. In 2015 he finished fourth at the PGA Seniors’ Championship of Canada and fifth at the PGA Championship of Canada. Scott posted an opening-round 2-under-par 70 Tuesday at TPC Eagle Trace in Coral Springs, Fla., and leads by a shot over an impressive list of names. “When you come so close to winning so many times and you don’t, you begin to wonder if you’re ever going to get the job done,” Allred stated. “But I’m very pleased to be in the position I’m in right now, so let’s see what happens tomorrow”. California Teaching Summit PD Series 2018
The PGA of Alberta’s Education Committee would like to invite you to its inaugural Winter “Teaching Summit” hosted in the Palm Springs area. This 2-day educational event will give a select group of PGA of Alberta members (8 participant’s max.) to observe interactive lessons with two of the most sought-after instructors in North America – Dana Dahlquist and Dr. Craig Farnsworth. During the 8-hours of instruction each day, participants will take a 60-minute lesson to work on their own game as well as develop their coaching skills by observing the other participants take their lessons; always with the ability ask questions in real time to both student and teacher. The combined cost of taking a single lesson with each instructor would normally cost in excess of $800 CAD but PGA of Alberta members will have access to 16 hours of instruction at a fraction of that cost.
