Junior Golf Program Guidelines

Goals
• Learn the rules
• Understand proper etiquette
• Learn and understand the history of the game
• Learn the fundamentals of the swing
• Learn to enjoy and have fun
• Learn how to compete
• Be provided with competition
• Through golf learn about life skills

Professionals must provide instruction and programs for:
• Level 1 - Junior-Juniors (5-8 years)
• Level 2 - Recreational golfers - enjoy playing but do not like to compete
• Level 3 - Club golfers - Play competitively in national, provincial, and city events

Professionals must create a positive experience for young golfers at the club:
• Make them feel welcome
• Treat them fairly
• Introduce them to the rules of the club
• Make sure there is ample playing times
