Draw for the Players' Tour at Redwood Meadows G&CC

The draw is posted for the third PGA of Alberta Players' Tour event presented by Jancor Agencies. The new format to the Players’ Tour series will now see the Association’s most competitive players going head-to-head including the top players on last year’s Order of Merit. The tournament is being hosted by Redwood Meadows G&CC on July 9th & 10th. Tee Times begin at 2:30pm on Sunday, July 9th and 8:00am on Monday, July 10th. Purse is set at $6,250. Draw for the Golf Supply House Professional Series #5 at Speargrass GC

The draw is now posted for the Golf Supply House Professional Series' fifth event, hosted by Speargrass GC. 46 players will compete for a total purse of $5,900 on Tuesday, July 11th. Crossover will begin at 8:30am. Click here to see the draw.

Draw Posted for the PAT at the Redwood Meadows G&CC

The draw has been posted for round 1 and round 2 of the third Playing Ability Test of 2017. Hosted by Redwood Meadows G&CC, this attempt will begin with tee times at 4:10pm on Sunday, July 9th and 9:40am on Monday, July 10th for round 2. Click here to view tee times for both days.

Blackhawk GC and Camrose GC win at Pro-Junior North

The team of Evan Dyki & Will Holan of Blackhawk GC took home Low Gross honors today at the Edmonton Petroleum G&CC in the 2017 Pro-Junior North. Team Blackhawk GC shot a 4-under par score of 68 to edge out the competition. Braxton Fox and Erik Bouck of Camrose GC combined for an excellent score of 8-under 64 to take home the Net title. Larry Petryk of Raven Crest G&CC shot a 2-under 70 to win the Individual Professional title. Click here for the full tournament results.

PGA on Wheels a Huge Success for Canada Day Celebration

Thank you to Ryan Doucette (Cougar Creek GR), Trevor Goplin (The Derrick G&WC), Tyler Willner (Royal Mayfair GC) and Ron Vander Mey (Lewis Estates GC) and all the volunteers that helped make the PGA on Wheels in Spruce Grove for Canada Day a huge success. The PGA on Wheels area saw hundreds of kids throughout the day take part in the various junior activities offered. The next PGA on Wheels event will be the Jumpstart Games at the Calgary Soccer Centre on Thursday, July 20th. BRODERSON WINS AT HOME

Similar to 2015, Kevin Broderson (Lacombe G&CC) shot a 2-under 69 to capture another Professional Series event at his home course. Weston Gillett (Drayton Valley GC) and Gage Murphy (Cardiff G&CC) finished tied for second with 1-under 70’s. Click here for all the results.

Six players pass their Playing Ability Test at Woodside GC

Congratulations to Minbae Jun (Golf Canada Calgary Centre), Edmund Dzieciuch (Apple Creek GC), Vincent Gibson (Hinton GC), Trey Lidbury (Woodside GC), Blake Roney (Turner Valley GC) and Carson Taylor (McKenzie Meadows GC), who all passed their Playing Ability Test today at the Woodside GC.

Pro-Junior Heads North

The draw is now posted for the first PGA of Alberta Pro-Junior event of the year being hosted at the par 72 course in Edmonton Petroleum G&CC. Thirty-one teams will take to the course on Wednesday, July 5th to decide this year’s winner. To view the draw, please click here.

RISDON TIES COURSE RECORD AT WOODSIDE GC

Dustin Risdon of the National Golf Academy at McCall Lake, was able to finish day 2 by tying the Woodside GC competitive course record, posting a 7-under 63, for a 36-hole total of 132, clinching him the top spot. Keith Whitecotton (The Quarry) was able to climb the leaderboard to finish second overall by posting a 2-under 68 on day 2, for a 36-hole total of 137. Click here for full results.
