Jenkinson elected to Board of Directors. Goplin, McGarry and Sweenie re-elected
At the PGA of Alberta Annual General Meeting held March 6, 2017, Garett Jenkinson (Golf Performance Canada at Elbow Springs) was elected to the Board of Directors. Trevor Goplin (The Derrick G&WC), Greg McGarry (Glendale G&CC) and Tahlon Sweenie (Jasper Park Lodge GC) were all re-elected.
Kirkness elected to Assistants' Board. Chow & Thompson re-elected
At the PGA of Alberta Annual General Meeting held March 6, 2017, Sam Kirkness (Priddis Greens G&CC) was elected to the Assistants’ Board of Directors. Kevin Chow (Blackhawk GC) and Sean Thompson (Calgary G&CC) were both re-elected.
US Kids Golf Vice President John Bryan TO PRESENT AT SPRING SEMINAR
John Bryan is Vice President of the U.S. Kids Golf Coaches Institute which focuses on helping golf professionals teach young golfers the game by assuring there are programs scaled to their needs. John will be speaking on two specific topics at the Spring Seminar presented by E-Z-GO. Day one he will be discussing what makes a great youth program. Best practices for what you can do to help kids enjoy golf and how to be successful when teaching kids. On day two, he will speak about scaling the golf course for lower scores, faster play and greater enjoyment. Deadline to register for the F&B Operations & Professional Business Communication PD series on Feb. 28 at Red Deer G&CC is Friday, Feb. 24 at 4pm.
