Award Nominations Deadline extended to September 5th
Nominate a PGA of Alberta Member or Industry Representative who you feel deserves a chance to receive an Award at this yearís Awards Banquet. We value feedback from every member and your participation in the process helps us to recognize outstanding members. This year we have streamlined the nomination process, you can now nominate through the new online form. Click here for details on the nomination process and to nominate a deserving individual. Nominations will now be accepted until September 5th at 12pm.
Tour Championship Qualifiers
Invitations have been sent to all members that have qualified for the 2017 Sunice Tour Championship hosted this year at Royal Mayfair GC in Edmonton. This two-day 36-hole competition is comprised of the top 10 money leaders from the Players' Tour, the top 10 money leaders from the Professional Series and the top 30 individual money winners from the Association's individual money leaders who have not otherwise qualified. Draw Posted for the PAT at the Belvedere G&CC
The draw is now available for the Playing Ability Test at the Belvedere G&CC on September 6th & 7th. Tee times begin at 1:00pm on both Wednesday, September 6th and Thursday, September 7th.
G&G Golf Company Pro-Pro Best Ball Goes to The Ranch G&CC
The draw is now posted for the annual G&G Golf Company Pro-Pro Best Ball presented by Allstate Insurance and hosted at The Ranch G&CC. Thirty-six teams of Professional golfers from throughout the Province will battle on the course to determine the top team of 2017. Shotgun start will get underway at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 5th. A light continental breakfast will be provided to all players in the morning along with a fantastic meal after the round. BATSEL HELD ON DOWN THE STRETCH
Dillon Batsel (Connaught GC) held on down the stretch to win the Golf Supply House Professional Series Event hosted by Blackhawk GC. Batsel shot a two day total 4-under 138 to win by four shots over Albert Pistorius (Pinebrook G&CC). Pistorius made a charge on day two shooting a 6-under 65. David MacComb (Blackhawk GC) shot 2-under on day two to finish third at 144. Click here for all the results.
BATSEL LEADS AFTER DAY 1
Dillon Batsel (Connaught GC) holds the lead at the inaugural 2 Day Professional Series Event sponsored by Golf Supply House and hosted by Blackhawk GC. Batsel shot a blistering 1-under 70 in the tough windy conditions. Tyler Komick (Ranch G&CC) sits alone in second at even par. Four Advance to the Shaw Charity Classic
Four players qualify for the Champions Tour Shaw Charity Classic on Aug. 30 - Sept. 3 at Canyon Meadows G&CC. Tommy Tolles of Hendersonville, North Carolina, shot the course record 7-under 64 to lead the way, followed by Guy Boros at 6-under 65. The other two players who qualified were Steve Jurgensen and Mike Grob, both shooting 3-under 68ís. Click here for more information.

Congratulations to Keaton Allred (River Ridge GC), Michael Pike (Fort McMurray GC) and Crystal Shapka (Highwood G&CC) who all passed their Playing Ability Test today at the Alberta Springs GR.

PLAYOFF IN EDMONTON
Craig Gibson (Sirocco GC) continued with his great season with a 4-under 68 but needed one extra hole to capture the last Players' Tour event of the season hosted by Glendale G&CC and sponsored by Jancor Agencies. Mike Belbin (Royal Mayfair GC) found his name back at the top of the leader board finishing second. Scott Stiles (Inglewood G&CC) and David MacComb (Blackhawk GC) tied for third with 3-under 69ís.
