Following a great round of 67 at the Wolf Creek Golf Resort, It took a playoff for Carson Kallis from the Red Deer G&CC to claim victory at the 2008 PGA of Alberta Junior Masters. His 76-67 – 143 total put him in the clubhouse lead until Jordan Ediger of Earl Grey forced a playoff following rounds of 72 and 71.

‘I can’t wait to come back again next year’, stated Kallis following his victory. ‘Is the tournament going to be here again, because it’s a really good course for the event.’ Competing in the 16 year old division, Kallis still has two years of eligibility remaining.
Ediger won the 18 year old division, while Craig Bloom of Carnmoney won the 17 year old division and Mac Keats of Bearspaw won the 15 year old and under flight.
In the Girls Division, Kaitlin Allan from the Royal Mayfair looked as though she was running away with the title early on in the tournament sitting eight shots ahead of eventual runner up Jocelyn Alford from Earl Grey on the 18th tee. ‘Don’t make an 11 on the 36th hole’ was her advice to her peers, as she finished the tournament with rounds of 73 and 80.
