The Professional Golfers' Association of Alberta is one of nine Provincial Zones of the Professional Golfers' Association of Canada which was formed in 1911.
In 1964 the growing network of PGA Golf Professionals working at Alberta's many Public and Private golf courses decided to form their own association, becoming a recognized Zone of the PGA of Canada.
The current number of Members in Alberta stands at just over five hundred, which includes Life Members as well as active Class A Members and Candidates for Membership.
There are over fifty tournaments and events run each year by the PGA of Alberta, including Golf Championships, Team Competitions, Golf Shows, Golf Seminars and Junior Golf Programs.
