Paul Lowe is retiring; he's put in his time (28 years), he leaves us now with warmer plans in mind. Just "R & R" and taking life slow, (after he closes his store at Center Village in February), at home enjoying a morning cup of coffee on his deck (instead of answering the phone calls for a tee-time), or even the casual game of golf with some good ole’ members at HLGC fishing for quarters. Forget the black tie it's no formal affair, just come as you are for that casual flair. We'll drink and laugh as we all reminisce, it's a gathering for a friend that will surely be missed. The celebration will take place on Saturday October 18, from 3 - 6 pm. Appetizers will be served.
Kim Carrington earns a top 20 finish in the British Senior Ladies Open Amateur Championship
Carrington, of the G&G Golf Company, just returned home after a top 20 finish and low Canadian honours in the British Senior Ladies Open Am Championship at Scotland’s Royal Dornoch. “It was pretty amazing,” said Carrington, who shot a three-under second round which tied her for low round of the day. “It was the first time I had really played any links-style golf. And to do it on a course that is 398 years old was especially memorable.” Earlier this year Carrington won the Alberta Mid Masters at Whitetail Crossing, took the Calgary Ladies Seniors at Pinebrook in a three-hole playoff and tied for third in the Senior Ladies Championship held at the Medicine Hat Golf and Country Club.
