I grew up in Fort McMurray where I played hockey and took up golf as a teenager. My first job in the industry was working in the Shop at the Miskanaw Golf Club for Ray Meria and Todd Jurak. I attended school at University of Lethbridge and University of Calgary for Biochemistry, where I ultimately decided I did not want to be working in a lab for the rest of my life. I took a winter off school and lived with a friend in California where I golfed all winter. Upon my return I obtained employment at the Ponoka Community Golf Course working for Rob MacPherson. Rob was an excellent mentor and great role model. I thoroughly enjoy my career and have never looked back. I am happily married with 4 young children.
