In conjunction with the Buying Show the PGA of Alberta presents Leigha Main of Green Grass One to help you focus on MERCHANDISING in 2014. Green Grass One is a comprehensive retail program for top independent golf course facilities across North America and many of the leading product suppliers in the industry.
Working together as a diverse group of experts, Green Grass One is able to share industry best practices, current educational content, benchmarks, tools, and select core services. By taking advantage of the collective size and experience of the many PGA professionals operating retail shops, Green Grass One is able to negotiate volume-based pricing with major industry suppliers and share retail expertise and information amongst the members to help everyone better compete in today’s challenging marketplace.
The “GG1 Team” that operates the Green Grass One program year round, consists of experienced Management Consulting Professionals, seasoned retail experts, as well as accounting and customer service specialists.
During this four hour, interactive workshop, participants will learn about:
• Pro Shop Survey Data: benchmarks of average sales, sales per square foot, dollar per round, sales by category, year-end inventory position and much more.
• Purchase Planning: how to build a purchase plan to set your golf shop up for success in 2014.
• Surveying Your Members/Guests: guidelines for building good surveys to help improve your retail operation to include sample templates.
• Trends for 2014: 2014 trends for men, women, shoes and retail in general.
• Renovations: how to make the most of the budget you have to renovate and improve your golf shop in the off season.
The session will conclude with a Retail Roundtable Discussion on topics of interest to participants.
