PGA of Alberta Welcomes New Members to Board of Directors and Assistants’ Board

EDMONTON – The PGA of Alberta elected four new members to its Board of Directors and four new members to the Assistants’ Board of Directors at the Association’s Annual General Meeting on Monday, further strengthening leadership across the Association.

The following professionals have been elected to the PGA of Alberta Board of Directors:

  • Kevin Chow, Executive Professional, Blackhawk Golf Club
  • Miles Mortensen, Head Professional, Kananaskis Country Golf Course
  • Scott Stiles, Head Teaching Professional, Earl Grey Golf Club
  • Andrew Szewczuk, Head Professional, Banff Springs Golf Club

They join President Shawn Lavoie who continues in his leadership role, and Jason Stanier, who assumed Vice-President responsibilities last year.

The 12-member Board of Directors also includes: Shelley Charlton, Dallas Cantera, Josh Fleming, Samuel Kirkness, Jeff MacGregor, Chris Paskin, and Matt Johnson (Past President).

The PGA of Alberta would like to thank outgoing Board members: Blake Clayton and Todd Halpen for their years of service.

The PGA of Alberta also welcomed four new members to its nine-member Assistants’ Board of Directors:

  • Tyler Leicht, Professional, The Derrick Golf & Winter Club
  • Gina Nelson, Associate Professional, Highlands Golf Club
  • Kevin Robinson, Professional, Windermere Golf & Country Club
  • Stephen Yanitski, Associate Professional, Valley Ridge Golf Club

They will serve alongside Matt Bean, Joseph Busetto, Nic Longley, Amy Popkes, and Colin Yarchuk.
