Sector Guidance for Golf
The National Allied Golf Association of Alberta (NAGA AB) is aware that sector guidance updates specifically for golf have not been provided by AHS for 2021.
We are aware that various AHS representatives have requested operators to pivot to single rider carts only while others have advised that cart riders wear a mask when sharing a cart.
At this time, June 2020 protocols for golf are posted online and can be accessed HERE.
It is important to recognize that although the golf protocols posted are from June 2020, it may be necessary to modify your own facility guidelines in consultation with your local AHS rep to ensure that public health protection measures are maintained.
NAGA AB was asked by officials to offer new protocol suggestions due to the current state. Information has been submitted but no timeline was provided as to when to expect revised sector guidance for golf. All current sector guidance documents are located HERE.
We strongly urge all golf courses to remain vigilant as the safety of staff and guests remains our utmost priority and we ask that all facilities do their part to adhere to all AHS guidelines.
The National Allied Golf Association (NAGA) of Alberta remains committed to working in partnership with the Province of Alberta and will update the industry with any future announcements with respect to golf that may be announced.
Sincerely,
Erica Beck
