The PGA of Alberta would like to invite you to attend the 2022 PGA of Alberta Buying Show on October 18 – 20 (3-day show) at the Calgary BMO Centre to showcase your company and products! The purpose of the Buying Show is to bring Golf Professionals, Equipment Manufacturers and Sales Representatives all together in the same building, in order for them to prepare their inventories for the following season. Over the course of the three days, nearly 1,200 people gather from across the province and country to look at what’s new and exciting in the golf industry and conduct business.

Our Buying Show continues to be the only “full scale” show of its kind in Canada and it is with great pride that we host this show every fall for our Members, Industry Suppliers and guests of the Industry. The Buying Show is an event that is restricted to PGA of Canada Members, Non-PGA of Canada Facilities and Golf Industry Equipment Manufacturers/Businesses.

The Show will be hosted in Calgary at the BMO Centre in Stampede Park (Hall D). We are excited to build off the success of previous shows which included easy transportation in & out of the city, increased networking opportunities and walking distance from our preferred hotel partner 
Hotel Arts.

In 2022, Gordon Food Service will be offering complimentary food and beverage options for all Exhibitors and Attendees located in the 19th Hole (centre of the floor plan) for the entire 3-days of the Buying Show! IMPORTANT COMPONENTS TO THE 2022 BUYING SHOW

  • Set-up day for Exhibitors is on Monday, October 17th.
  • PGA of Canada members may schedule appointments in the hour before the set hours (8:00am – 9:00am) on Wednesday, October 19th and Thursday, October 20th and the hour after (5:00pm-6:00pm) on Tuesday, October 18th.
  • There will be a ‘New Product Section’ highlighting the innovative products coming out in 2023. The office will contact you after registration and allow you to feature a product in this section.
  • NGCOA and Green Grass attendees are welcome to attend all day and make appointments both Wednesday, October 19th and Thursday, October 20th. Only facilities with a PGA of Canada Professional in good standing may attend the show on Tuesday, October 18th.
  • Exhibitors that are entirely new to the PGA of Alberta Buying Show have the opportunity to rent a booth at a reduced size and rate. This space will be shared with other first time Buying Show exhibitors. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Trevor Rioux ([email protected]). 
  • Save the Date: The PGA of Alberta will be hosting a Cocktail Reception after Day 1 of the Show (October 18th) hosted at Hotel Arts (short walk from the BMO Centre). All Exhibitors and Attendees are encouraged to attend.
  • Save the Date: The PGA of Alberta Awards Evening will be Wednesday, October 19th. The evening will kickoff with cocktails at 5:00pm and will be followed by the Awards Banquet at 5:30pm. All Exhibitors and Attendees are encouraged to attend.

FIRST TIME EXHIBITORS
Exhibitors that are entirely new to the PGA of Alberta Buying Show have the opportunity to rent a booth at a reduced size and rate. This space will be shared with other first time Buying Show exhibitors.

  • The booth space will be 10’ wide x 5’ deep.
  • This option is limited to one 50 sq. ft. booth per company.

Their goal is to provide you with the best possible service and to ensure that your participation in the event is a success. If at any time during the planning process you have questions or need advice, just ask them, they are here to help! In preparation for the event, here are a few useful tips like we’d like to share with you:

  • Be sure to review this Exhibitor Services Manual carefully as it contains valuable information on Advance Pricing as well as the many services being offered by GES.
  • Ordering online is the best way to save money - UP TO 25%! Do so by the Advance Price deadline to ensure you receive the best rates available.
  • On-Site pricing is applicable to all orders received beginning on the first day of move-in through to the completion of the event.
  • Full payment is required at time of order. Please complete & return the enclosed "Credit Card Authorization Form ".
  • GES accepts VISA, MasterCard, American Express, Debit, EFTs/Wire Transfers and cheques as methods of payment.
  • Exhibitors are required to pay 5% G.S.T. on all items when exhibiting in Alberta.

: Monday, October 3, 2022 - To take advantage of the Advance Price, all completed forms and full payment must be received on or before this date.

> Standard Price: Show Start Date - The Standard Price will be charged after the Advance Price Deadline Date has passed and up until the first day of event move-in.

> On-Site Price: Monday, October 17, 2022 - Orders received on the first day of event move-in through to the completion of the event are subject to the On-Site Price which begins on the date indicated.

CALGARY STAMPEDE EXHIBITOR SERVICES ORDER FORM PACKAGE

The Centre at Stampede Park is proud to be the exclusive provider of all electrical, sign/banner hanging, internet, telephone services, plumbing, natural gas, food and beverage and parking services on Stampede Park.

Please complete the form and return, along with the relevant order pages, no later than 14 days prior (Oct. 3rd) to the first move in day of the event (Oct. 17th) to receive the advance rate pricing, which offers a 30% discount. Orders received after the advance pricing deadline will be subject to the standard pricing rates.

Placing Your Order with the BMO Centre at Stampede Park
This service is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. For orders placed online, the manual processing fee of $25.00 does not apply.

Payment is secure and you will receive instant confirmation that your order has been received. Upon receipt of your order, an exhibitor services consultant will communicate the requirements to the appropriate teams for execution. Prior to your arrival, the exhibitor concierge will verify that you order is set to be fulfilled.

BUYING SHOW DRESS CODE
Ensure all staff representing your company have been registered and are aware of the Buying Show Rules, Regulations and DRESS CODE (jeans, cutoffs, hoodies, t-shirts, and track suits are not permitted in the show).


PARKING
Parking will be complimentary for all Exhibitors and Attendees. More information on parking will be released closer to the show.


WIRELESS INTERNET
Wireless Internet will be complimentary for all Exhibitors and Attendees. Wifi access code will be given at the Show.


TERMINATION
The contract may be terminated through written notice sent to the PGA of Alberta at least 30 days before the Buying Show is held. A sum of $200.00 will be retained to cover administrative fees. The balance will be reimbursed to the exhibitor. Should cancellation come less than 30 days before the show, the exhibitor must assume all costs related to their involvement in the show, including registration.


EXHIBITOR LIABILITIES
The PGA of Alberta Buying Show will not be responsible for any products and/or services sold or offered by the Vendor. The PGA of Alberta Buying Show will not assume any responsibility for losses or injuries to property or persons, which might be incurred from pilfering, water damage, fire, accident, or any other cause. The exhibitor is liable for the damage and deterioration caused to the building, the booth, and the merchandise and goods of other exhibitors.

All Vendors must have commercial general liability insurance of TWO MILLION DOLLARS, and are required to submit an insurance certificate or certified copy of the policy. This certificate must identify ‘PGA of Alberta’ as additional named insured, but only with respect to your business operations during the PGA of Alberta Buying Show.

The Vendor shall indemnify The PGA of Alberta and its Directors, Officers and Employees, and volunteers from all losses, claims, costs and liabilities which may arise directly or indirectly, as a result of the granting of this exhibitor license. The Vendor shall be solely responsible for all acts or omissions due to or caused by any person at any time while occupying the Licensed Area.

The exhibitor agrees to respect the timetable in the show schedule. In return, the organizing committee agrees to provide access to the exhibition site as stipulated in the timetable.
