The 2018 Show will be taking place from October 16 - 18, 2018 at the Edmonton Expo Centre, Hall E

The PGA of Alberta is proud to present the largest Buying Show in Canada each year in Edmonton, Alberta. The purpose of this show is to bring Golf Professionals and Equipment Manufacturers together, so as to prepare their inventories for the following season.

Over the course of three days, close to 1,200 people gather from across the country and around the world, for a look at what’s new and exciting in the golf industry. The Buying Show is an event that is restricted to Members of the PGA of Canada, Non-PGA of Canada Golf Facilities and Golf Industry Equipment Manufacturers.

CONTRACT TERMS, CONDITIONS AND DRESS CODE
EXHIBITOR INFORMATION PACKAGE

  • Exhibitors that are entirely new to the PGA of Alberta Buying Show have the opportunity to rent a  50 square foot booth at a reduced rate. This space may be shared with other first time Buying Show exhibitors. Please contact the office for this opportunity.
  • PGA of Canada members may schedule appointments in the hour before the set hours (8:00am – 9:00am) on Wednesday, October 17th and Thursday, October 18th and the hour after (5:00pm-6:00pm) on Tuesday, October 16th.
  • NGCOA and Green Grass attendees are welcome to attend all day and make appointments both Wednesday, October 17th and Thursday, October 18th.  
  • Corporate guests can attend  both Wednesday, October 17th and Thursday, October 18th  between 2:00pm-5:00pm when accompanied by a golf professional from their facility.
  • Save the Date: The PGA of Alberta Awards Evening will be Wednesday October 17th. The evening will begin with cocktails at 5:00pm and will be followed by the Awards Banquet at 5:30pm. All Exhibitors are encouraged to attend

TERMINATION
The contract may be terminated through written notice sent to the PGA of Alberta at least 30 days before the Buying Show is held.  A sum of $200.00 will be retained to cover administrative fees.  The balance will be reimbursed to the exhibitor.  Should cancellation come less than 30 days before the show, the exhibitor must assume all costs related to their involvement in the show, including registration. 

EXHIBITOR LIABILITIES
The PGA of Alberta Buying Show will not be responsible for any products and/or services sold or offered by the Vendor.  The PGA of Alberta Buying Show will not assume any responsibility for losses or injuries to property or persons, which might be incurred from pilfering, water damage, fire, accident, or any other cause.  The exhibitor is liable for the damage and deterioration caused to the building, the booth, and the merchandise and goods of other exhibitors.

All Vendors must have commercial general liability insurance of TWO MILLION DOLLARS, and are required to submit an insurance certificate or certified copy of the policy.  This certificate must identify ‘PGA of Alberta’ as additional named insured, but only with respect to your business operations during the PGA of Alberta Buying Show.

The Vendor shall indemnify The PGA of Alberta and its Directors, Officers and Employees, and volunteers from all losses, claims, costs and liabilities which may arise directly or indirectly, as a result of the granting of this exhibitor license.  The Vendor shall be solely responsible for all acts or omissions due to or caused by any person at any time while occupying the Licensed Area.

Webinar: It’s Showtime - Planning for the Buy 

Building off her 2018 Spring Seminar presentations, Tracy Moffat, President, Association of Golf Merchandisers will conduct a Webinar session on October 16th, 2018 to help you develop a buying plan for the Show. During this hands, on two-way interactive Webinar, Tracy will look at key numbers you need to review and forecast for next year and then take those numbers and develop a simple buying plan for the upcoming season.  Additionally, vendor analysis and planning for the upcoming season will also be discussed.

Join your golf industry peers for this one-of-a-kind Webinar that will enrich your 2018 Buying Show experience. Please note, this workshop is designed for anyone at your facility involved with the Buying Show process, including, General Managers, Head Professionals, Teaching Professionals and Assistant Professionals.


Impact Tournament Systems - Enhance Your Tournament Experience

Join Impact founders Brian Haydamack, Scott Hrehirchuck and Chantel Wons as they will be hosting an Impact Tournament Systems Software Tutorial at the 2018 Buying Show to help refine your Impact skills. On October 17th, 2018 they will run through the top 5 tools in impact you might not be aware of, the top 5 features most courses are not utilizing in Impact followed by a Questions and Answers period allowing you to address any questions or concerns you may have in using the Impact software.


2019 Golf Rule Changes - Everything you need to know

Join current rules official Leigh Cormack as he hosts a 2018 Buying Show workshop on all of the key rule changes being implemented in the 2019 season. On October 18th, 2018 Leigh will address all of the major rule changes using key concepts, procedures and outcomes that are more intuitive and easier to learn. The purpose of this is to make the rules of golf more easily understood for all golfers.
