The PGA of Alberta would like to invite you to attend the 2021 PGA of Alberta Buying Show on October 19th – 21st at the Calgary BMO Centre (Hall D)! The purpose of the Buying Show is to bring Golf Professionals, Equipment Manufacturers and Sales Representatives all together in the same building, in order for them to prepare their inventories for the following season. Over the course of the three days, nearly 1,200 people gather from across the province and country to look at what’s new and exciting in the golf industry and conduct business.

Our Buying Show continues to be the only “full scale” show of its kind in Canada and it is with great pride that we host this show every fall for our Members, Industry Suppliers and guests of the Industry. The Buying Show is an event that is restricted to PGA of Canada Members, Non-PGA of Canada Facilities and Golf Industry Equipment Manufacturers.

Exhibitor & Attendee Registration for this year’s Buying Show is NOW OPEN! The PGA of Alberta is extremely excited to invite you to showcase your company and products at the annual Buying Show, this year hosted on Tuesday, October 19th to Thursday, October 21st, 2021. Exhibitor set up will be on Monday, October 18th. The Show will again be hosted in Calgary at the BMO Centre in Stampede Park (Hall D). We are excited to build off the success we had at the 2019 Show in Calgary, and continue that momentum for this years Show which included easy transportation in & out of the city, increased networking opportunities and walking distance from our preferred hotel partner Hotel Arts.

In 2021, Gordon Food Service will again be offering complimentary food and beverage options for all Exhibitors and Attendees located in the 19th Hole (centre of the floor plan) for the entire 3-days of the Buying Show! This will help your facility save costs as well as gives you a chance to try their food and re-energize yourself while at the Show. You can also stop by their show booth to discuss all of your food service operation needs.

With this dynamic partnership, we ask all Clubs/Facilities to bring their F&B Managers and staff as we want to continue to build this aspect of the Show. By partnering with Gordon Food Service, this is going to give members and facilities a great opportunity to review all their on course and clubhouse needs for the 2022 season and beyond!

IMPORTANT COMPONENTS TO THE 2021 BUYING SHOW

  • Set-up day for Exhibitors is on Monday, October 18th.
  • PGA of Canada members may schedule appointments in the hour before the set hours (8:00am – 9:00am) on Wednesday, October 20th and Thursday, October 21st and the hour after (5:00pm-6:00pm) on Tuesday, October 19th.
  • There will be a ‘New Product Section’ highlighting the innovative products coming out in 2022. The office will contact you after registration and allow you to feature a product in this section.
  • NGCOA and Green Grass attendees are welcome to attend all day and make appointments both Wednesday, October 20th and Thursday, October 21st. Only facilities with a PGA of Canada Professional may attend the show on Tuesday, October 19th.
  • Exhibitors that are entirely new to the PGA of Alberta Buying Show have the opportunity to rent a booth at a reduced size and rate. This space will be shared with other first time Buying Show exhibitors. If you are interested in this opportunity, please contact Trevor Rioux ([email protected]). 
  • Save the Date: The PGA of Alberta will be hosting a Cocktail Reception after Day 1 of the Show (October 19th) hosted at Hotel Arts (short walk from the BMO Centre). All Exhibitors and Attendees are encouraged to attend.
  • Save the Date: The PGA of Alberta Awards Evening will be Wednesday, October 20th. The evening will kickoff with cocktails at 5:00pm and will be followed by the Awards Banquet at5:30pm. All Exhibitors are encouraged to attend.

FIRST TIME EXHIBITORS
Exhibitors that are entirely new to the PGA of Alberta Buying Show have the opportunity to rent a booth at a reduced size and rate. This space will be shared with other first time Buying Show exhibitors.

  • The booth space will be 5’ x 10’.
  • This option is limited to one 50 sq. ft. booth per company.

TERMINATION
The contract may be terminated through written notice sent to the PGA of Alberta at least 30 days before the Buying Show is held. A sum of $200.00 will be retained to cover administrative fees. The balance will be reimbursed to the exhibitor. Should cancellation come less than 30 days before the show, the exhibitor must assume all costs related to their involvement in the show, including registration.


EXHIBITOR LIABILITIES
The PGA of Alberta Buying Show will not be responsible for any products and/or services sold or offered by the Vendor. The PGA of Alberta Buying Show will not assume any responsibility for losses or injuries to property or persons, which might be incurred from pilfering, water damage, fire, accident, or any other cause. The exhibitor is liable for the damage and deterioration caused to the building, the booth, and the merchandise and goods of other exhibitors.

All Vendors must have commercial general liability insurance of TWO MILLION DOLLARS, and are required to submit an insurance certificate or certified copy of the policy. This certificate must identify ‘PGA of Alberta’ as additional named insured, but only with respect to your business operations during the PGA of Alberta Buying Show.

The Vendor shall indemnify The PGA of Alberta and its Directors, Officers and Employees, and volunteers from all losses, claims, costs and liabilities which may arise directly or indirectly, as a result of the granting of this exhibitor license. The Vendor shall be solely responsible for all acts or omissions due to or caused by any person at any time while occupying the Licensed Area.

The exhibitor agrees to respect the timetable in the show schedule. In return, the organizing committee agrees to provide access to the exhibition site as stipulated in the timetable.

The Alberta Buying Show is the largest golf show in North America that is 100% owned and operated by PGA Members.  This is due to the solidarity and support for the show shown each year by our PGA of Alberta Members, the traditions and business practices we have been fortunate enough to acquire and carry forward from year to year, as well as the partnership and mutual respect that exists with our equipment manufacturers and their sales representatives.

  • Ensure all staff representing your facility have been registered and are aware of the Buying Show Rules, Regulations and DRESS CODE.
