12 February, 2026

The PGA of Alberta is pleased to announce that World Amateur Golf Ranking (WAGR) points will be awarded at the 2026 Play Golf Alberta Junior Masters presented by Sundog Eyewear / Blue Tees, taking place July 25–27, 2026.

This exciting addition further elevates the prestige of one of Alberta’s premier junior golf events and provides competitors with the opportunity to earn valuable international ranking points.

A 54-hole invitational junior championship organized annually by the PGA of Alberta, the event provides the province’s top 40 boys and top 20 girls with a highly competitive and affordable tournament experience at two of Alberta’s premier golf venues.

The PGA of Alberta will partner with Cougar Creek Golf Resort and the Royal Mayfair Golf Club to host the 36th Junior Masters Tournament. The championship will be contested over three days, with:

  • Rounds 1 & 2 at Cougar Creek Golf Resort
  • Final Round at the historic Royal Mayfair Golf Club

The addition of WAGR points in 2026 reinforces the tournament’s commitment to offering elite competitive opportunities for Alberta’s top junior golfers while enhancing its profile on the national and international stage.
