The PGA of Alberta’s Education Committee and its Teaching Summit Sub-Committee are happy to present our annual “Teaching Summit” initiative with a slightly different look, feel & summer dates after a brief hiatus from the ongoing pandemic. With the ongoing uncertainty associated with international travel, the decision was made to keep the respective events local this year, take advantage of some of the incredible local talent we have within our Association for the Instructors’ and make use of some of the many top-notch facilities we are lucky to have in our Zone. 

This year’s North and South events will only be 1-day sessions and will be contingent on restrictions being eased in terms of  allowable instruction & allowable group sizing. Due to the ongoing restrictions and concern for even inter-provincial travel - a North & South event have been set with the clearly stated aim that - Members will try to attend their local event before trying for the other option.

Registration for each event opens at 10:0AM on Monday, June 7th. Registration’s will capped at 1 solo entry per Member and it will be on a First-Come-First-Served basis so make sure to mark the date in your calendar! 

Both events will consist of 4-hours of instruction, 1 hour of lunch & networking and to finish a round of golf with your peers. Registered attendees will be polled for their preferences on topics of instruction. Participants will get a chance to work on their own game as well as develop their coaching skills by observing the other participants with the instructors; always with the ability to ask questions in real time to both student and teacher to create an open learning atmosphere for all.
