Wilmot in the Lead after Round 1 at PING Club Pro Championship

It was a beautiful day for Round 1 of the annual PING Club Pro Championship hosted this year at the serene Hampton’s GC in north-west Calgary. Conditions were excellent all day on a challenging course and it is in mint shape for our players.
In First place, coming out firing today in his first event of the season was: Pat Wilmot (Earl Grey GC) who carded a great 1-under par 71 with a 35 on the front 9 and 36 on the back 9. Pat had 5 Birdies on the card today.
In in a 2-way tie for 2nd is: last week’s Pro-Senior Champion, Todd Halpen (Golfuture YYC) & Dallas Cantera (Cardiff G&CC) who both shot solid even-par 72’s today. Todd shot a 35-37 and had 5 Birdies on the card. Dallas also shot 35-37 and also had 5 Birdies on the card.
In sole possession of 4th was: Jeremy Maher (Modern Golf) who carded a respectable +1-over par 73 with 4 Birdies.
Rounding out our Top-5 today was: Samuel Kirkness (Inglewood G&CC) who carded a respectable +2-over par 74 today with 3 Birdies and 1 Eagle on the card.
