Defending Champion Mike Belbin Leads 2011 Golf Supply House Assistants' Championship after first round

Two-time Assistants' Champion Mike Belbin of the Royal Mayfair GC shot a 6-under par 66 today at the Stony Plain GC to take a two-shot lead into the final round of the 2011 Golf Supply House Assistants' Championship. Darryl James of the National Golf Academy at McCall Lake shot a 4-under 68 to sit alone in second place. Belbin and James will be joined by Dale Miners of the Priddis Greens G&CC (2-under 70) in the final threesome tomorrow.
