Mike Belbin of the Royal Mayfair GC Wins the 2011 Golf Supply House Assistants' Championship

Mike Belbin of the Royal Mayfair GC won his second straight Golf Supply House Assistants' Championship today at the Stony Plain GC. Belbin added a 1-under par 71 to his first-round 66 for a three-shot victory over Darryl James of the National Golf Academy at McCall Lake. Belbin made eagle on the par-4 17th after two consecutive bogeys on 15 and 16 to finally distance himself from James after a hard-fought battle throughout the back nine. Jamie Gerlitz of the Lacombe G&CC finished alone in third place at 3-under for the tournament.
