After review by the Tournament Committee, the Association will make several adjustments to the schedule for events in early May in response to recent Government regulations. The following changes will be made to the schedule:

1. GSH Series at Picture Butte GC Rescheduled – This event will be rescheduled to the end of the season on September 20^th, which will now be the closing event of the season. The Tournament Committee wanted to keep this event on the schedule as it is the only event in Southern Alberta this season. If you are already signed up, your registration will be transferred over shortly to the new date. The new deadline to withdraw before penalty is August 23^rd. If you are unable to attend this new date, please withdraw before then to receive a full refund.

2. Team Match Play Championship – The opening seeding rounds for the Team Match Play Championship at Lakeside GC (May 10) and Sturgeon Valley G&CC (May 12) will be CANCELLED. Instead, we will do the following format:
   • The office will conduct a random draw for positions in the North and South brackets. There will be NO opening rounds as in 2019.
   • The brackets will be released at the beginning of next week to all players.
   • Teams will NOT be able to schedule and play any matches until the Association gives the official green light for the event since sporting competitions are currently under review with the Government.
   • The brackets are being created now to allow the Association to get this event underway immediately if/when competitions guidelines are clarified by the Government.

3. Event Timeline Moving Forward - Each event will be reviewed approximately two weeks prior to its start date, at which a determination will be made at that point to either postpone to later in the season or remove from the schedule. There are several factors that determine whether an event is either postponed or cancelled, including event priority, sponsorship, and schedule availability. An update will be sent next week on events in the second half of May.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS

Payment Processing Date - The payment processing date (28-days prior to event date) for future tournaments will be delayed until further notice. Until we have a confirmed start date, we will not be processing any payments.

Registration - Members are still able to register for future events online. If a tournament gets postponed/cancelled, your registration will either transfer to the new date if postponed or you will be refunded if cancelled. Click here for the Tournament Eligibility Form.
