Whitecotton Runs Wild at Day 1 of Cardiff G&CC

Today saw the second two-day Golf Supply House event of the season hosted at the scenic Cardiff G&CC with 42 competitors in the field. Smoky conditions persisted throughout the day but the course was in great shape for all our competitors.
Our Leader after Round 1: Keith Whitecotton (The Quarry) who carded an incredible opening round of 8-under par (64) today while opening up a healthy lead on the field and his nearest competitors. Keith fired an excellent Front-9 score of 32 with 4 Birdies on the card and followed it up on the Back-9 with another excellent score of 32 with 4 more Birdies.
In Second Place is: Kent Fukushima (Redwood Meadows G&CC) who carded a stellar 4-under par 68 today with 5 Birdies on the card.
In Third is: Dillon Batsel (Desert Blume GC) who carded a great 3-under par 69 today with 5 Birdies on the card.
In Fourth is: Larry Petryk (Larry Petryk Golf Academy) who carded a solid 1-under par 71 today with 4 Birdies on the card.
Rounding out our Top-5 today is: Matt Mah (Cardiff G&CC) who carded a solid even-par 72.
Rounding out our Top-10 today, in a 6-way tie for 6th after carding +1-over-par (73) is: Clayton Frost (Jasper Park Lodge), Brady Karlson (Canyon Meadows G&CC), Ryan McDermott (The Links at Spruce Grove), Spencer Vandermey (Edmonton Petroleum G&CC), Tyler Lebouthillier (GOLFTEC Calgary Beacon Heights) & Nick Vandermey (Windermere G&CC).
Tee times kick off at 8am sharp tomorrow (July 20th) with our final group of Whitecotton, Fukushima & Batsel heading out at 10:10am.
