My name is Lucas Rachkowski. I am a young golf professional with a true passion for golf. I have worked in the golf industry since I was 11 years old and I look forward to working in golf for the rest of my career. My goal is to increase the enjoyment of the game of golf for every golfer, beginner to experienced, and provide a welcoming and fun environment for all.

Q. What do you enjoy most about the game and the business of golf?
The overall happiness that come with being around a golf course. It is a perfect getaway for all members and guests, and we get to make it even more special for them.
Q. What or who influenced you in becoming a Golf Professional?
My grandmother, Marilyn, who played a big part in why I started playing this game, and my 2 life-long mentors, Robin and Robert Letvinchuk.
Q. What would you be doing if you weren’t a Golf Professional?
I would either be working in the tourism and hospitality industry, or teaching Mathematics.

Sagebrush Golf Club in Quilchena, BC

Q. What is the first club you take out of your bag on the driving range?
7 iron
Q. What is the most number of holes of golf you have played in one day?
45 holes. Many golfers have done more, but personally, I do not see myself every breaking that personal best.
Q. What is your career low round and where did you shoot this score?
I have shot a 68 (-4) two times at Harvest Golf Club in Kelowna, BC.
Q. What significant accomplishments are you most proud of?
I finished T-1 in the 2023 IPGA Tour Championship with a score of 72 (E) at Gallaghers Canyon Golf Club.
Q. What other interests, hobbies and passions can you share?
I have played hockey my whole life, the majority of it as a goalie. I love watching sports, movies, specifically older movies from the 80s and 90s, and any old video of Norm MacDonald I can find.
