Tahlon Sweenie

Started playing golf at the age of 11 at the Stony Plain Golf Course. Going through at the time widely considered the top Junior Program in  Alberta. At 17 was awarded a sponsored membership at the Edmonton Petroleum Golf and Country Club were I ended up working for the following season as a member services employee. After enrolling in the PGM program at Lethbridge College I worked at the Devon Golf Club, Cougar Creek Golf Resort, Hope Island Golf Resort in Queensland Australia and the Windermere Golf & Country Club. I became a CPGA Class A Professional in 2007 and at the age of 22 was hired by the Edson Golf Club as the Head Golf Professional. My most recent experience is as the Director of Golf Operations at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge Golf Resort where I have spent the past eight seasons, seven as the Head Golf Professional.Voted by ScoreGolf Magazine as Canada’s #1 Resort and #2 Golf Course in the Country. During my 18 years in the golf industry, I have gained in-depth knowledge and progressive experience in all areas of golf operations. I possess a Professional Golf Management Diploma and a Professional Golf Management Certificate of Achievement. I currently sit on the PGA of Alberta Executive Board of Directors and Co Chair the Promotions Committee as well as the Communications Committee.
