Country Hills Golf Club Duo Claim Ahead, LLC Pro Junior Title

11 June, 2026

CALGARY—PGA of Alberta professional, Brodie Shields-Tyler, teamed up with an aspiring junior in William Stewart from the Country Hills Golf Club to take top spot in the Ahead, LLC Pro Junior on Thursday.

The Calgary-based duo combined for 45 Stableford points – one better than the next best team in the field of 49 to tee it up at Wolf Creek Golf Resort.

“We were steady all day. We made a lot of pars and Will stepped up on some of the net holes with some nice birdies. We also made some nice putts,” said Shields-Tyler. “The course was in really good shape. The weather held out for us, the greens were nice, and the fairways lush so we really appreciate Wolf Creek hosting us.”

Daniel Humbke and Maddux Pears (Lacombe G&CC) also racked up 45 points but had to settle for second place. Braden Chown and Mike Bosanko (Bearspaw Golf Club) locked up third spot at 43 Stabelford points.

“This event is so great. I run the junior program at Country Hills and just love being in the industry,” said Shields-Tyler. “This is a great learning opportunity of what tournament golf looks like and helps teach how to carry yourself. It is massively important for us be here with the juniors.”

Net scores were accounted for in the unique format where teams chalked up five points for an eagle, three points for birdie, two points for par, and one point for bogey.
