Fleming & Cook Win the Inaugural Mentorship Tournament

30 May, 2022

The first annual PGA of Alberta Mentorship Tournament hosted at Olds GC is now officially in the history books. Despite the cooler playing conditions, players still enjoyed the event and format which was a nine-hole rotation of team Best Ball and Scramble. This event was exclusive to pairings in the PGA of Alberta Mentorship Program within the last two years.

Winning the first ever Mentorship Tournament was the team of Josh Fleming (365 GOLF) and Matthew Cook (Riverside Golf Academy) shooting a team score of 5-under and winning in a closest to the pin playoff competition against the team of Craig Vogel (GOLFTEC Calgary Beacon Heights) and Jeff Diduck (Modern Golf).

Rounding out the top three was the team of Bryce Halverson (Carnmoney GC) and Tyler Lautner (Blue Devil GC), firing a 4-under to fall one back of the lead.

Thank you to all our players and Olds GC for hosting a great event! If you are a Class "A" Professional in Alberta and are interested in being a Mentor in 2023, please click here to learn more about the Mentorship Program.
