The PGA of Canada Head Professional Championship presented by Callaway Golf was hosted at Iberostar Playa Paraiso GC in Cancun, Mexico. Alberta was represented by 11 professionals including; Eric Locke (Priddis Greens G&CC), Kevin Black (Redwood Meadows G&CC), Samuel Kirkness (Inglewood G&CC) and Weston Gillett (Lacombe G&CC), who formed the Alberta Team during competition. 

Samuel Kirkness took home Low Club Professional honors, edging out teammate Weston Gillett , who made a 50-foot birdie on his final hole to force the playoff. Kirkness quickly answered with a 15-foot birdie to claim the Low Club Professional Trophy on the first sudden death hole.

PGA Women’s Championship of Canada

Katy Rutherford (Silver Springs G&CC) - T6th overall and tied for the lowest PGA of Canada Member

PGA Senior’s Championship of Canada

Scott Allred (Elbow Springs GC) - T26th

PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada

Wes Heffernan (Dynamic Motion Golf Performance Centre) - 2nd

Mitchell Fox (Speargrass GC) - T5th

Levi McDermott (Big Buck Golf) - T7th

The Assistants’ team also defended their title thanks to the efforts of David MacComb (Royal Mayfair GC), Michael Harrison (Coal Creek GR), Mitchell Fox (Speargrass GC) and Wes Heffernan (Dynamic Motion Golf Performance Centre).
