Bob Paley Named CPGA Club Professional and Merchandiser of the Year
Bob Paley, Head Professional at the Kananaskis Country GC, has been named the 2009 Canadian PGA Club Professional of the Year. "The most amazing thing about this award is that it is an acknowledgement to my mentors of the amazing kinds of people they are and the tools they have given me to be successful in my life... They and many others are why I am being honored with this life-changing award." The team at Kananaskis will also take home the award for 2009 Canadian PGA Merchandiser of the Year.

Coyote Creek added to 2010 Tournament Schedule
Coyote Creek Golf & RV Resort in Sundre will be the site for the 2nd Players' Tour event of 2010 on Tuesday and Wednesday, June 8th and 9th. Registration for Players' Tour events is now available to the top 60 players from last year's Mint Green Group Order of Merit. Registration will open up to other Members beginning May 1st, 2010.

Tournament Schedule Change
Please be advised that the Golf Supply House Assistants' Championship and the Club Car / Titleist - FootJoy PGA of Alberta Championship have switched spots on the Tournament Calendar. The Assistants' Championship will move to August 9 & 10, while the PGA of Alberta Championship moves to July 26th and 27th. This change will allow us to put on the best events possible on those two dates. If you have entered events already and this switch affects your ability to play in either of these events, please contact the Office as soon as possible.

Callaway Names New Edmonton Rep
Callaway Golf is proud to announce a new sales representative for the Edmonton Region. Jim McCulley comes to the northern Alberta region from a similar role in Saskatoon.
Golf Supply House will maintain its current operations in tact in Western Canada and as a result of a recent acquisition by NNG Ltd. will have access to a greater inventory of products to help service their clientele.
The PGA of Alberta recently held elections to its Board of Directors at the Association's Annual General Meeting. Alan Carter, Dean Ingalls, Gregg Schubert & Gary Ward were all re-elected for 3 year terms.

PGA of Alberta Assistants Board Election Results
Kyle Brandt, Mark Hutchings, Jeff MacGregor, Steve Richardson and Stuart Williamson were elected to the Assistants' Board during the Association's Annual General Meeting. Stuart Williamson from Priddis Greens takes over as Assistants' President.
Jason Hnatiw Completes Term as Assistants' Board President
Jason Hnatiw, one of Edmonton's leading Associate Golf Professionals completed his two year term as Assistants' President on March 1st. Hnatiw, the Associate at the Edmonton Country Club helped to guide the Association's investments into the Promotion arena, contributing many volunteer hours to the benefit of Alberta's Assistant Professionals.
