The PGA Championship of Canada will make a return to the national tournament schedule this season, and Cottonwood G&CC in DeWinton will play host from June 14th - 18th. The tournament will be conducted as a match play championship between the highest-ranked 64 players from the Canadian PGA Player Rankings.
Following the success of the Edmonton Golf Show two weeks ago, this past weekend's Calgary Golf Show also marked a huge success with approximately 4,500 Calgary-and-area golfers walking through the door to see what the coming season has to offer. Those consumers also contributed to record-setting Clearance Centre numbers, which surpassed $150,000 for the first time in the history of the Shows.

Thank you to everyone who helped make this past weekend's Edmonton Golf Show a success. We saw a 10% increase in attendance, with over 2,600 golfers walking through the doors! The Clearance Centre saw an increase of 30% over 2010, with $106,000 worth of product being sold.

Matt Freeman (Canyon Meadows), Landon Hargreaves (Edmonton CC) and Nathan Toornstra (Edmonton Petroleum Club) were nominated to PGA of Alberta Assistants' Board.
Tom Greiner (Calgary G&CC) and Dale Tomlinson (Carstairs GC) were elected to the PGA of Alberta Board of Directors' at the Association's Annual General Meeting
Alan Carter (Jasper Park Lodge) was named the PGA of Alberta's President while Country Hills' Head Professional Brett Burgeson was named Vice President at the Association's AGM.
