Canmore Pros Stick Together
The Professional Staff at the Canmore Golf & Curling Club are setting new standards for the Golf Industry when it comes to tenure...
With a new golf season underway at the Canmore Golf Club, members can expect a few new changes at the golf course. The biggest project right now is the renovations being made in the kitchen and receiving area of the club house. These renovation make life easier for the kitchen staff according to the club’s director of golf Darren Cooke. “In the kitchen there is a cooler and freezer,” he said. “They will be moved so bringing in food will not intersect with the food servers and will be much more convenient.”
Jonny White isn’t a new face at the Canmore Golf Club, but he will be taking on a new role this golf season. White received his CPGA card at the end of last season and he will now be taking a more active role at the golf course. “It was something I have always wanted to do,” said White. “When I was younger I always said I wanted to become a golf professional. And it wasn’t to play on Tour, it was a teaching professional.”
