2017 Junior Masters Round One Results

Reigning champion Max Sekulic (Grande Prairie G&CC), Alexander Smith (Pinebrook G&CC) and Matt Campbell (Earl Grey GC) hold a three-way tie going into round 2 of the Junior Masters at the Wolf Creek GR. One will try to break away from the field on day 2. Cassidy Laidlaw (Glencoe G&CC) shot a 4-over 75 to lead the girl’s division and will try to hold off the other competitors in pursuit of the Junior Masters title, presented by Sundog Eyewear. PGA of Alberta Partners with Pixel Army for New Website

The PGA of Alberta is excited to announce that the Association will be partnering with Pixel Army for a new website with the anticipated launch date being February, 2018. INGLEWOOD WINS TOURNAMENT OF CHAMPIONS

Jason Stanier (Inglewood G&CC) and Gerry MacDonald needed 2 extra playoff holes over Dave Henzie (Nanton GC) and Matt Nienaber to win the 2017 Tournament of Champions sponsored by Callaway Golf and hosted by RedTail Landing GC. Jeremy Maher (Valley Ridge GC) and Kenny Gregor rounded out the top 3 one behind with a 9-under 63. Click here for all the results.



2017 Junior Masters Champions

Carter Graf (Red Deer G&CC) bettered his round 1 score by 4 shots to shoot a two-day total of 146 to tie day 1 leader, Matt Campbell (Earl Grey GC) after 18 holes. It took one extra hole for Graf to take the Junior Masters title for the boy’s division. The girl's division also ended tied after 18 holes. A playoff between Cassidy Laidlaw (Glencoe G&CC) and Kehler Koss (Glencoe G&CC) needed 1 extra hole to settle the score. Koss birdied the first hole to become the girls Junior Masters Champion. RISDON WEATHERS THE STORM

In some of the toughest conditions anyone will play in, Dustin Risdon (National Golf Academy @ McCall Lake) captured the Players' Tour Event hosted by The Ranch G&CC. Risdon carded a remarkable 2-under 69 on day 2 to finish the tournament at 5-under par. Kent Fukushima also played great with a 1-over 72 to finish second in the event. GERLITZ WINS FIRST EVENT OF THE SEASON

Jamie Gerlitz (Picture Butte GC) took 5 extra holes to capture the first Golf Supply House Professional Series event of the season hosted by Desert Blume GC. Albert Pistorius (Pinebrook G&CC) also shot a 1-under 71 but lost in the playoff. Mark Corrigan (Mickelson National GC) and Jesse Florkowski (Medicine Hat G&CC) round out the top 4 with even par 72’s. Click here for all the results.
