The 2011 PING Canada Club Pro Draw has been posted. Tee times will begin on both days with a 7:30am crossover at the Red Deer G&CC on Thursday, July 14 and Friday, July 15, 2011.

The draw has been posted for the Callaway Professional Series event being held at the Mill Woods GC on August 2nd, 2011. The event will be an 8:00am shotgun with a complimentary lunch for all competitors following the round.

Brett Burgeson of the Country Hills GC is the 2011 Club Car - Titleist / FootJoy PGA of Alberta Champion

Host Professional Brett Burgeson of the Country Hills GC won his second Club Car - Titleist / FootJoy PGA of Alberta Championship eleven years after his first one today at his home course. Burgeson shot a second-round 2-over 74 to defeat Adam Pederson of Heritage Pointe GC by a single shot after Pederson chipped in for birdie on 18, while Trevor Ellerman of the Riverview GC finished alone in third at 2-over for the tournament.

Brett Burgeson of the Country Hills GC shot a round of 2-under par 70 today at his home course to lead heading into the final round of the 2011 Club Car - Titleist / FootJoy PGA of Alberta Championship. Trailing by a single shot heading into Day 2 is three-time champion Don Graham, while Adam Pederson of the Heritage Pointe GC and Dan Cameron of the Academy at Golf Town - Calgary sit two shots back in a tie for third.

Brett Burgeson of the Country Hills GC Claims the 2011 PING Canada Club Professional Championship

Brett Burgeson of the Country Hills GC won his third PING Canada Club Professional Championship today at the Red Deer G&CC, adding a 1-over 73 to his first round 67 to claim a five-shot victory over Kevin Broderson of the Lacombe G&CC. Burgeson and Broderson claim the first two spots on Team Alberta for the 2011 Canadian Club Professional Championship in Port St. Lucie, FL. Scott Allred of the Elbow Springs GC finished alone in third at 2-over 146.

Brett Burgeson Leads After First Round of 2011 PING Canada PGA of Alberta Club Professional Championship

Two-time champion Brett Burgeson of the Country Hills GC shot a 5-under par 67 today at the Red Deer G&CC to take the lead heading into the final round of the 2011 PING Canada PGA of Alberta Club Professional Championship. Kevin Broderson of the Lacombe G&CC shot a 3-under par 69 to sit alone in second place, while Jason Vaughan of the Fort McMurray GC shot a 2-under par 70 and will join Burgeson and Broderson in the final group on Friday.

Kim Valleau of the host Calgary Elks Lodge GC won her first PGA of Alberta Ladies Championship today, adding a 6-over 78 to her first round 76 to defeat Kimberley Stanlake-Cammer of the Strathmore GC. Rhonda Carter of the Glencoe G&CC finished in third place.

Scott Allred of the Elbow Springs GC finished second at the Canadian PGA Senior Championship at Kings Riding GC in Ontario after a final-round even-par 71. Allred finished two shots back of eventual winner Ken Tarling.

Tyler Lebouthillier sets new competitive course record to claim 3rd PGA of Alberta Players' Tour event of 2011 at Canyon Meadows

Tyler Lebouthillier of the Silver Springs G&CC shot a course record 5-under par round of 67 today at the Canyon Meadows G&CC to claim the first PGA of Alberta Players' Tour title of his career. Lebouthillier's round gave him a two-day total of 4-under 140 and bested the previous course record by three shots, giving him the cushion he needed to hold off Phil McCluskey of the Akokiniskway GC by a pair of shots. Matt Freeman of the host club finished alone in third place at even-par 144.

Host Associate Professional Matt Freeman and Akokiniskway GC Head Professional Phil McCluskey both shot 1-under par rounds of 71 today at the Canyon Meadows G&CC to lead the third event on the PGA of Alberta Players' Tour by a single shot heading into Round 2. One shot behind are Daniel Brown of the Nanton GC, Mike Belbin of the Royal Mayfair GC and Blair Buttar of the Glendale G&CC. Overall, 22 players in the 48-man field enter the final round within 5 shots of the lead.
