He hails from the west coast of British Columbia, where he was introduced to golf at a young age and immediately his passion for the sport was born. While attending Camosun College in Victoria, BC he completed several education certifications and excelled in the Professional Golf Management Program. He has worked at two of the premier facilities in Victoria including the 36-hole Jack Nicklaus designed Bear Mountain Resort & Community and most recently the historic Victoria Golf Club. He was recognized as the 2018 PGA of BC Apprentice Professional of the Year, the highest honour the association can bestow on a working Apprentice Professional whose total contributions to the game best exemplify the PGA of Canada Professional values. Additionally he was twice recognized with the Vancouver Island Regional PGA of BC Award for Professional Development in 2019 and 2020. Cailean now a PGA of Canada Class “A” Professional has a strong background in retail golf operations, member service, corporate and member golf events, and golf instruction. When he is not at the club or golfing Cailean enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, biking and being active.
