I was born and raised in Invermere, BC. My first job was in the back shop working for Derrick Hawes at The Springs at Radium. The first part of my career was spent in the East Kootenays, including being a part of the inaugural seasons at Greywolf and Eagle Ranch. Next was five years with Fairmont Hotels, where I was at Chateau Whistler and Banff Springs. I wanted to get experience at a private club to round out my resume, and was lucky enough to work for Judy Forshner at The Glencoe. From there, I was hired as Head Professional at The Highwood G&CC for eight seasons. I had a detour back to BC as Golf Operations Manager at Kokanee Springs Resort for 2018 & 19, and I have now returned to the Highwood where in 2024 I will be in year 13 as Head Golf Professional.
I’ve graduated from Selkirk College (golf management), Camosun College (PGM) , and Royal Roads University (B. Comm)
My hole-in-one total stands at two and my first was playing with former NHL goalie Mike Vernon at Eagle Ranch. Ace #2 was at Tobiano in Kamloops. In 2006, while working at Banff, I met Jack Nicklaus (and 4 other PGA Tour Professionals) at the Telus Skins Game. I was fortunate enough to be a part of the PGA of Alberta’s FAM trip to Ireland in 2009 where I was honored to play many of the best golf courses in the country, including the K Club, Lahinch, Old Head, and Ballybunion. In 2013, I was invited to play Cypress Point which was just as nice as you would think!

| Q. What significant accomplishments are you most proud of? The places I have been fortunate to work at and the mentors I have had in the industry. I’ve learned much from all of my leaders, particularly Miles Mortensen, Chad Thomlinson, and Judy Forshner. |
