I was born in Pincher Creek, Alberta and moved to Calgary when I was six years old. At the age of 8 I started caddying for my dad on weekends. When I was 12 Don Price became the Head Professional at Canyon Meadows G&CC and he was a huge promoter of junior golf. In no time there were many juniors playing regularly at the Club.  When I turned 14 I started working in the snack bar during the summer months, and when I was in University moved to the grounds crew.

I attended Lamar University in Beaumont, Texas on a golf scholarship and finished up my B.Ed. at the University of Calgary. I taught secondary math and science for four and a half years before taking a position at Shaughnessy G&CC working for Jack McLaughlin. After a year at Shaughnessy I returned to Calgary to work for Don Price at The Glencoe G&CC. I was initially in an administrative position as the Assistant to the Director of Golf, but later turned professional and moved into the role of Assistant Professional. I have now been at The Glencoe G&CC for 30 years. I am the Head Professional and so fortunate to work with an amazing team. I am so grateful for what the game of golf has brought into my life!
