Q. What do you enjoy most about the game and the business of golf?
The pursuit of improvement has always been my driving force. I find myself as a classic tinkerer, constantly experimenting with new approaches to gain an edge over the competition. This inherent curiosity and drive have naturally led me to coaching, where I discovered a profound passion. Rather than focusing solely on my own golf game, I now find immense joy in helping others on their golfing journey.
Q. What or who influenced you in becoming a Golf Professional?
In the world of golf, my father has been my greatest inspiration, just as many others have their own guiding figures. He introduced me to this beautiful sport at a very young age, and his nurturing support ignited a passion within me that we will both cherish and share for the rest of our lives.
Q. What would you be doing if you weren’t a Golf Professional?
It is hard to see myself anywhere outside the golf landscape. I would guess if I couldn’t be around a golf course, I would find myself as a teacher where I would be able to make a positive impact on young peoples lives.
Q. What is your favourite golf course in the world?
I have been fortunate to play so many great golf courses; however, I have to give the Number 1 to Pebble Beach. It had such breathtaking views and to share it with my fathers made it that much more special for me.
Q. Who is your favourite PGA Tour player?
Rory Mcilroy was always someone I looked up to. When I started playing competitive golf, he was jumping on the scene and I found myself really admiring him from then on.
Q. What is the first club you take out of your bag on the driving range?
My 56, I like to start with little half swings, really feel impact and release. From there I would work my way up, skipping a club each time. I then finish with my 56.
Q. What is the most number of holes of golf you have played in one day?
108 holes as a junior. We had nice long days up in Northern BC.
Q. What is your career low round and where did you shoot this score?
My Career Low round is a 61 at the great Marine Drive Golf Club in Vancouver BC.
Q. What significant accomplishments are you most proud of?
During my time playing tour golf, I was happy to have won 7 times in four years. My most notable win was the 2020 Johnson Meir Insurance Vancouver Open. Another favorite moment on the golf course was qualifying for the US am in 2016.
Q. What other interests, hobbies and passions can you share?
Most of my interest and hobbies now revolve around my family, spending time with them. That being said, I love competition, anywhere I can find that I am in.
