Officially … I was born in Hamilton, grew up in Burlington, and moved to Calgary in 1985. Personally … I sometimes think my life truly began in 1985 when I took my first drive down the Club road in January going to an interview with Steve Stiven and Al Ewen, then the Club Pro and Club Manager. It was a winter day with fresh snow on the ground and a clear blue sky. I knew right away that this was a special place. And today … I let everyone know I have the best head office in Calgary. I grew up in a non golfing family. At 13 I went with some friends to a local 9 hole course to play for the first time and fell in love with the game. I still remember my score on my first 18 hole round - 116. I often remind myself how important golf is in my life, and I make a special effort to find time to play the game I love – even if it is just once a week – and spend time with my wife Jacquie and our children, Brett and Nicole. I feel especially proud of a recent recognition from our peers that involves the entire Golf Shop: our shop was selected by the Alberta and Canadian PGA as the 2010 Merchandiser Of The Year. As far as my golf dreams go, they stay close to home … but one day I would love to play in Scotland or Bandon Dunes.
