Thank you to everyone who attended the 2018 Golf Shows in Edmonton & Calgary. Both Shows we’re full of enthusiastic golfers who are excited for the upcoming season. The PGA of Alberta is proud to have raised over $14,000 for our partner charities Ronald McDonald House Northern Alberta and Kids Cancer Care Foundation. Fore! Finally! Calgary’s Golf Season Starts This Week
The phone was ringing off the hook this weekend at Fox Hollow GC. With the 18-hole hangout opening for the season Monday morning after a winter that seemed like it might never end, most folks were calling to ask for a tee-time. “I’ve had guys bribing me to play today,” revealed PGA of Alberta Head Professional, Greg Griffith, with a chuckle. “They’re saying, ‘C’mon, why don’t you let us out early?”. The PGA of Alberta is pleased to announce the launch of 2018 Hole-In-One program. Foster Park Brokers Inc. (www.fpb.ca) is excited to partner again with the PGA of Alberta to provide a Hole-In-One Insurance Program for the Members. This program provides Members with preferred pricing on prize limits ranging from $500 to $50,000. FPB is also able to accommodate prize limits up to $1,000,000 outside of the program.
Registration for the 2018 Playing Ability Tests is now open. The PGA of Alberta will be conducting 5 Playing Ability Tests (P.A.T) this year for those who are interested in becoming a PGA of Canada Member. Please register with the PGA of Canada prior to registering with the PGA of Alberta. After becoming a PGA of Canada applicant, please create a profile on the PGA of Alberta website . Once you have created a profile, you will be invited to register online for the PAT’s under the Tournament Schedule section of the website.

PGA on Wheels Needs Your Help!
The first PGA on Wheels event this year will be taking place at the Collicutt Centre in Red Deer on May 16th for the Annual Go Girl Event. We are in need of PGA of Alberta Professionals to volunteer and give instruction at the various junior golf activities that will be setup. If you are able to help, please submit the Volunteer Registration form on the website!
