Calgarian shoots stellar score at PGA of Alberta Junior Masters … and she's 14!

Calgary’s Annabelle Ackroyd needed only 68 strokes to complete a spin of the Links Course at Wolf Creek Resort during the PGA of Alberta’s Junior Masters. That terrific tally is even more impressive when you consider this stat — Ackroyd is 14 years old. “We’ve had some really good young players come through here, and they’re 17 or 18 years old and shooting that kind of score,” marvelled Ryan Vold, the director of golf at Wolf Creek, a top-notch 36-hole hangout near Ponoka that hosts both the Junior Masters and the McLennan Ross Junior Tour Championship. “But at her age, to shoot that, I thought it was quite a feat.” Click here to read the full article written by Wes Gilbertson, Calgary Herald.
