The PGA of Alberta is delighted to form a new partnership with Nike Golf Canada heading into 2021. Next season, Nike Canada will be the new Title Sponsor of the annual Pro-Junior event which features one Professional paired up with a Junior Golfer in a team net stableford format.

Nike Canada will also be the new Presenting Sponsor of the Team Match Play Championship, one of the Associations premier events on the schedule! This increased partnership at both events next season will enhance the overall playing experience for our membership and junior amateurs alike.

In addition to Srixon/Cleveland Golf Canada continuing as the Title Sponsor of the Team Match Play Championship, they will also be the Presenting Sponsor of the Pro-Junior event next season!

The Team Match Play Championship is one of the Associations premier events on the tournament schedule that lasts the entire duration of the season. The Championship will have an opening seeding round at the beginning of the season in the Edmonton and Calgary areas to determine team rankings for the round one bracket.

The PGA of Alberta runs one Pro-Junior event every year which consists of one Professional paired up with a Junior Golfer playing in a team net stableford format. The event features a maximum of 60 teams with a meal following the round.

The Association is proud to recognize the Top 100 PGA of Alberta Golf Professionals for 2020 as determined by the rankings in the Top 100 Program presented by Foresight Sports Canada! The list below is the top 100 point earners for 2020 program year.

Award Winner...
Congratulations to Chris Ward of the Edmonton Petroleum G&CC on winning this year’s Top 100 Award! Chris finished the program year with 104 points to win by just one point! It was a goal of Chris’ this year to win the Award and he accomplished that by increasing his point total by 56 overall compared to last year, going from T-19^th in the standings in 2019 to winning the title.
